About Kolea:

Built in 2005, Kōlea is a small, gated, well maintained luxury styled resort that is the only condo community in Waikoloa Beach Resort with a beachfront location. Our villa offers a spacious 2 bed / 2 bath garden level view with quick short walk to the Beach Club and direct access from the Beach Club to Anaeho'omalu Bay.

About the Villa:

The master bedroom has a king bed. The second bedroom has a default twin bed configuration that can be converted in to a king. Let us know during booking if you prefer the king conversion. We charge an extra $40 for the conversion and that goes back to our cleaners. A pack and play is available in the second bedroom as a courtesy for families with small children. Each room comes with TV/cable, its own spacious bathroom with a double vanity and tub/shower.

The large gourmet kitchen with its African mahogany cabinetry is fully stocked with all the key utensils, appliances, plates, bowls, cups, glassware, pots, pans and basic spices needed for cooking a gourmet meal and taking a break from eating at the restaurants. The dining room area will comfortably seat 6 people. The living room has a queen size fold out sofa bed. Let us know if you plan to use the sofa bed to sleep so the cleaners can arrange for that.

The Lanai:

Open the fully contractable 9 foot pocket doors and fully enjoy the lanai experience with its beautifully landscaped grass area and screen of plants and trees for added privacy from other guests. The outdoor kitchen area with its Koa cabinetry comes with a gas grill, bar, sink, and under-counter wine cooler.

Beach Club and Beach:

A short walk from the lanai is the Beach Club where you will witness the most breathtaking beach views. It comes with a beautifully appointed lounge area, infinity pool, large lava rock hot tub, keiki pool with sand bottom and lava rock waterfall, fitness hale, bathrooms, a towel station and a private path that leads direct to A-bay. On your way back from the beach to the Beach Club there is a shower and rinse area outside the gate to wash off the saltwater and sand. We also have an outside hose off of the lanai to wash off your body and beach gear before storing it away. Beach gear (umbrellas, folding chairs, cooler and some beach toys for kids) is provided in the locked carport storage area for enjoyment on the beach.

Getting Around:

Every part of Waikoloa is within walking distance if you want to relax and take a scenic tour. The development provides nice, wide sidewalks for safely travelling to Queens' Market Place and Kings' Shops for restaurants and shopping. You'll be able to access Marriott and Hilton properties as well. Our villa provides a great home base for your Big Island Hawaii adventures.

Cleanest place I have ever stayed...

The unit is probably hands down the cleanest I've ever been in in Hawaii (including hotels like Marriott and Hyatt) - comparable to Mauna Lani the hotel! I'm super OCD and never walk anywhere barefoot (including my own home) but loved walking barefoot in your unit. Also, it felt very welcoming walking in with the lights having been on, temperature set, and tv running to make the place feel alive.

A great stay!

A great stay! Very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Sharon was a great host and very easy to communicate with. Very nice, gated community with pool and hot tub a short walk to the end of the street, beach is a little further but still a short walk. A lot of nice places to eat and other resorts within a 15 min drive, a lot of nice beaches close by too (Hapuna was our favorite and was great for our young kids, but not the best snorkeling if that’s what you're looking for). Close to plenty of stores including grocery store (>5 min drive, 10 min walk). I would definitely recommend staying here if you're on the big island, Mahalo!

We had a great stay at Sharon's condo! The pool / beach club was a short walk and was beautiful -- it overlooked the beach and was very well maintained. It also had a walk-in sand baby pool that was amazing for hanging out with the kids. My husband loved BBQing on the private lanai.

Really beautiful location, and the house was perfect.

House was awesome and the location was great. Within walking distance to great shops and restaurants. The snorkeling was outstanding, and the club house was really nice since it tends to be much quieter than the beach or the hotel pools. Spectacular views of the sunset and ocean from the club house hot tub, don't miss witnessing the night sky while you're there. Really beautiful location, and the house was perfect.

A great stay! The place was perfect for our family vacation to the Big Island. I cannot recommend this place enough, especially if you are traveling with younger kids (ours are 8 and 6). Located extremely close to the beach, pool and stores but also in a great location to travel a few miles north to other beaches located in the State Parks. Sharon is very helpful and provides great communication before and during your stay.

We felt right at home.

This is a delightful luxury condo that is a 3 min walk from the beach club. The views from the pool and amenities are not only as described but gorgeous. My wife and two kids had a wonderful stay here. We felt right at home. The Kolea community felt is so quiet and secluded you can hear a pin drop at night. Highly recommend.

Our stay was AMAZING, beyond what we were expecting.

Our stay was AMAZING, beyond what we were expecting. I can't believe how nice the condo was and it was fully stocked with everything we needed. I love how the pool was super close and we could easily walk to the beach and come back to the pool to rinse off. The location was great for us it is a 30 minute drive to Kona but we were relieved to be back "home" after visiting Kona to our relaxing oasis. For us Alaskans it was exactly what we needed in the middle of the winter. I would book again and again. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Excellent stay! Some things didn't go perfectly, which happens sometimes and was out of Sharon's control, and she was a huge help for getting it all sorted. The condo itself was excellent, a couple minutes' walk from the beach and pool. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing week.

Our family had a wonderful experience.

We loved that the beach access was sooo close. The Ground floor makes it feel like you have a bigger area because of the front lawn. The unit had everything you need from in the kitchen to things for the beach and family games. Sharon communicated very well and was a wonderful host.

I've seen families setting up play pens for their kids on it while they enjoy the lanai. That is a big reason why we love the garden level so much. Very versatile. Since we spend more time at the Beach Club soaking up those beautiful views we decided we could sacrifice a lanai ocean view for the garden space. Hope we get to host you again. Mahalo! Sharon
